Web

Inspired by the intricate and diverse web habitats found when harvesting the plants used for this installation, Web is an homage to one of the original weavers and fibre spinners - the Spider. Cordage made from 4 school visits and 3 public workshops over the course of two months contributed to this outdoor installation. Using the fibre from Day Lily, Stinging Nettle, Cattail, Milkweed seed, and corn husks, more than 97 metres of rope make up this weaving.
